Position Overview:

What you'll do:
Operations: Consistently maintain the highest sanitation standards and compliance with safe food handling practices for kitchen and overall facility

Kitchen
 Clean, wash and sanitize tables, counters, sinks and equipment including ovens, stoves and grills and other equipment
 Move small equipment to clean counters
 Sweep and mop all floors in assigned areas
 Wipe and clean walls and doors in assigned kitchen areas
 Clean and wipe walls and doors of refrigerators and freezers
 Remove soiled linens from kitchen and return to designated area
 Ensure all doors, fridges and store rooms are locked and secured
 Remove all garbage from kitchens and deliver to garbage pick up area

General Facility
•Sweep and mop all floors in assigned areas
•Clean, wash and sanitize tables
•Remove remaining garbage and recyclables after closing
•Maintain and stock all cleaning supplies
•Clean and sanitize all glass, surfaces, wells, countertops, underneath and sides of both hot and cold buffet units and beverage stations
•Replenish all cold wells with fresh, clean ice
•Consistently uphold and demonstrate cleanliness and hygiene standards as designated by

Communication: Manage information to maintain and improve service satisfaction, teamwork and operational effectiveness
•Report chemical and cleaning supply needs to Sous Chef / Chef / Food & Beverage Supervisor / Manager
•Report mechanical problems or any equipment requiring repair to Sous Chef / Chef / F&B Supervisor / Manager
•Notify Sous Chef / Chef / F&B Supervisor or Manager of any occurrences or discrepancies which may impede operational efficiency
•Identify and recommend opportunities for improving service or operational performance to Sous Chef / Chef / F&B Supervisor or Manager

Qualifications:

What we're looking for:
•1 year experience in similar environment an asset
•Ability to speak and read English
•Knowledge of basic hygiene
•“G” class license required
